Spreading Hope & Impacting Lives with Project Glimmer

Project Glimmer is a national nonprofit organization serving over 700,000 teenage girls and women throughout the country. They have nearly 1,000+ organizations across all 50 states that help with foster care, homelessness, low-income, crisis care, and youth services. As a brand partner, we’re excited to share that we will be selling a set of hair scrunchies and 20% of all proceeds will go straight to the girls of Project Glimmer. You can never have too many scrunchies, especially when they’re for a good cause.

Project Glimmer at a Glance

Project Glimmer’s mission statement reads: To inspire every girl to envision and realize her empowered future.

Project Glimmer does this by striving to build-self confidence in adolescent girls so that they feel included, valued, and empowered to use their voices. However, confidence doesn’t grow on its own, especially when living in an environment of poverty, uncertainty, or fear. That is why Project Glimmer works to let these young women know they are seen and heard.

And the impact has been powerful.

Project Glimmer’s Impact on Young Women

Empower Hours and in-person Days of Empowerment are one of Project Glimmer’s initiatives to close the success gap by providing access to different companies, career paths, and relatable role models who have successfully broken the cycle of poverty in their own lives.

Career Coaching is another initiative that allows these young women to build a network of support. Through 1:1 career coaching sessions, volunteers help identify strengths, career options, and provide tools for success.

Project Glimmer’s Social Supply Chain for Good helps to deliver meaningful gifts and essential goods to thousands of young women each year. These gifts are meant to instill personal confidence and remind these girls how much they matter.

How our Guiding Lights & Project Glimmer go Hand-in-Hand

Luma & Leaf’s Guiding Lights were created to emphasize the importance of self-worth and community. Our brand was built for skincare lovers and supporters to feel beautiful in their own skin.
