Relax, Reset, & Rejoice This Holiday Season
Don’t blink. The new year is right around the corner! Use these tips to make the most of this holiday season.
The holidays are filled with food, fun, friends, and family. Amidst all the plans and activities, it’s also important to set aside some personal time to relax and reset. Here are a few ways to stay present and centered during this busy time of year while also making memories that will last a lifetime.
Spend Time Outside
Depending on where you live, this time of year is typically great for getting fresh air without sweating off your makeup. Enjoy the weather by going on a walk or a hike with friends or family. Take your camera to really capture the beauty of the city you’re in.
If you’re feeling competitive, organize a team activity outside like flag football or volleyball. Who still has their skills from high school? Only a friendly game will tell. If you’re more of a sit-and-sip type of participant, attend a local sports event or festival! There are plenty of ways to get outside.

Take a Social Media Break
The holidays are the best time to unplug and be present with your friends and family. It’s especially good for your mental health to take a social media detox and really make the most of your surroundings every once in a while. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb and delete any apps you don’t need.
If you’re wondering which part of your phone is keeping you up at night, utilize the Screen Time App to track how much time you spend on your device. This is the most wonderful time of the year, so look up and take it all in!
Wake up With Positive Affirmations
What do you love about yourself? What is it about you that makes other people excited to see you each year? Make a list of positive affirmations that you don’t tell yourself enough. Recite them in the mirror, in the mornings, when things get stressful, or whenever you need to put your game face on.
Reorganize your space
Sometimes, all you need is a little organization to get your mind right. If your room is a mess, there’s a chance your brain could be a little scattered too. Take some time to reorganize your desk, declutter your room, clean out your closet, or unpack if you’re living out of a suitcase. Trust us when we say you will feel so much more at ease when you mark this task complete.
We hope this blog brought you a little bit of peace and a lot of excitement this holiday season. Send it to a friend who you know is dreading the family 5k she’s being forced to attend. We’re all just doing our best, you know?
